President's Message

Dear Members

The end is in sight for tax season; hang on in there, only days to go! Between tax season and the financial services sector being in turmoil it is proving to be an extremely busy time for everyone, however there is always time for your ASWA colleagues so make sure you have April 16 in your calendar. We have a great meeting, with career counseling on offer, a speaker who will help us all with estate planning and some wine tasting, not to be missed!

I am still finalizing details of the Board for next year and would welcome applications from the broader membership for the roles of Scholarship Chair, Membership, and Secretary. We have some nominees but we do not close nominations until the next meeting, so if you have been shy in contacting me, don’t be! Call me on (415) 434-1900 and discuss how you can help the chapter become stronger. If you do not want to commit to being on the Board we always welcome Committee members who will help the Board member, whilst not taking full responsibility.

On a different note we would love members input to the web site and newsletter, if you can recommend a great book, or a film you have really enjoyed please give us details we can share with everyone. And if you attend another event and hear a good speaker again please let us know, the Program Chair Gabrielle Rudolph welcomes new ideas.
