Description of Position

Located in the corporate offices of Robert Half International, Inc. in Pleasanton , CA , the Senior Financial Analyst provides routine and ad-hoc analyses and prepares Revenue, Budget, Credit and other management reporting for senior management ensuring timely and accurate distribution.  In addition, the analyst will analyze and interpret financial and operational data working effectively with all levels of management and other corporate departments to successfully execute processes, understand data and solve business issues. The Senior Financial Analyst is also expected to identify opportunities to enhance and improve current processes and reporting. This position will lead projects and coach other Financial Analysts to enhance business operations and support changing business requirements.

Desired Candidate Background: 

BA in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred

5+ years of work experience

Knowledge for PeopleSoft, Brio, and/or Access a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Seeking a self-motivated person with strong analytical and communication skills

Description of Position

Located in the corporate offices of Robert Half International, Inc. in Pleasanton , CA , the Manager, Financial Analysis will manage the team responsible for producing value-added financial analyses for executive management. This individual maintains integrity and accuracy in financial analysis functions, systems, and processes and ensures timely and accurate completion of ad-hoc and standard analyses. Key reports include: revenue and gross margin performance, days sales outstanding, accounts receivable reporting, revenue forecasting, revenue and A/R reserves, departmental expense budgeting, and variance reporting.

The Manager, Financial Analysis will professionally develop a team of direct reports by coaching, mentoring, and evaluating their work. The position will identify alternatives to business problems by having a strong understanding of upstream and downstream systems and make recommendations based on available resources, system constraints, and economic and time criteria. The role will identify opportunities for automation and process improvement and participate in new system implementation/upgrades, including development of business requirements and validations and testing of solutions.

Desired Candidate Background: 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.

8 plus years in Finance and Accounting, including 3 years as a manager or supervisor. Demonstrated experience successfully managing a financial analysis team in the delivery of complex financial analyses.

Experience with reporting environments and tools such as Hyperion or Cognos.

Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and apply critical thinking skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
